The Club accepted an undisclosed offer and the attacker has signed a two-year contract at Villa Park.
Jota’s exit comes hot on the heels of Blues purchase of midfielder Gary Gardner from their Second City rivals.
The 27-year-old Spaniard joined Blues from Brentford in August 2017 a deal that was worth a Club record transfer.
Jota made 32 appearances during his first campaign at Blues, scoring five goals.
This season he found more favour under Garry Monk, appearing on 40 occasions in the Championship – seven as substitute - and finding the back of the net three times.
Jota went to Brentford in 2014 from Celta Vigo.
The Club would like to send Jota best wishes for the future and we thank him for his contribution to Blues.
