The Spaniard oversaw his Blues side win three games during October, with victories against Middlesbrough, Blackburn Rovers and Luton Town at the St. Andrew's Trillion Trophy Stadium.
And it's not so much the results, but the way Blues are playing, having transformed the team into an exciting, attacking threat in such a short space of time.
Clotet is up for the accolade alongside Huddersfield Town's Danny Cowley, Thomas Frank (Brentford) and Grant McCann (Hull City).
The overall winner of the award will be announced on Friday 8 November.
In announcing the nomination, Sky Bet said of Clotet:
"The Spaniard has quietly moved Birmingham into the top half of the Championship. Their three wins in October all came at St. Andrew’s as Middlesbrough, Blackburn and Luton were beaten by a fusion of passion and organisation."
The Sky Bet Manager of the Month judging panel comprises former Barnsley manager Danny Wilson, Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman; EFL Communications Director Mark Rowan, and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies.
