Tamworth away draw for Blues Under-23s in Senior Cup

The Club last won the tournament in the 2014/15 season when they beat Nuneaton Town 2-1.

Blues Under-23s have been handed an away draw against Tamworth in the first round of this season's Birmingham Senior Cup.

The tie will be played at Tamworth's 4,963 capacity The Lamb Ground on a date to be confirmed.

Tamworth play their league football in the Southern League Premier Division Central - the third tier of non-league football.

They are jointly managed by Andrew Danylyszyn and Gary Smith. Smith is the cousin of former Blues striker Kevin Francis.

Blues were knocked out at the second-round stage of last season's cup competition, after they suffered a 1-0 defeat at Hednesford Town.

The Club last won the tournament in the 2014/15 season when they beat Nuneaton Town 2-1.

The current holders of the BSC are Leamington.
