This prestigious award recognises the quality family experience provided at the St. Andrew’s Trillion Trophy Stadium.
The Club’s levels of engagement with families was judged based on mystery visits throughout the season, analysing first impressions, staff attentiveness, activities for youngsters and other key touch points.
It's no secret that St. Andrew’s is a traditional stadium where space is limited, but the dedicated Family Zone continues to receive rave reviews for its ability to keep kids entertained. Throughout the 2019/20 season we offered free face-painting and a covered PlayStation 4 gaming area, which were both big hits.
Special credit was also given in the EFL’s reports to our resident mascot duo Beau and Belle Brummie, with visitors appreciating their boundless energy and efforts to keep kids entertained prior to kick-off.
Furthermore, injured first team players and members of the Under-23s also paid visits to the Family Zone to sign autographs and take photographs with fans, which went down a storm with the youngsters.
Although COVID-19 means we are not able to open the doors to supporters again just yet, we are committed to building on these successes when we can welcome back families to the stadium.
