The agreement will see The Energy Check become the Official Energy Partner of the Club with their logo featuring on the back of Blues’ matchday shorts. The Energy Check will play an active role in supporting the Club in negotiating energy contracts, assisting in managing the Club’s energy consumption and identifying energy-saving opportunities at St Andrew’s Trillion Trophy Stadium and Academy.
Ian Dutton, Chief Commercial Officer of Birmingham City, said: “An important part of running a football club is to ensure that we pay attention to all aspects of the business – both on-field and off it. By working with a trusted partner like The Energy Check we are able to help to keep overheads down and maximise the investments we can make elsewhere in the club.”
“We also take our environmental responsibilities seriously at Birmingham City. With the support of the energy saving experts at The Energy Check, we are looking closely at ways we can reduce emissions, implement energy saving technologies and move towards greener solutions.”
Corporate Partnership Manager, Andrew Gray, said: “We are very excited to be partnering with Birmingham City Football Club. With an office in Birmingham we are keen to grow our presence in the city and can’t wait to get working with this historic club. As part of this agreement we will be identifying energy-saving opportunities and supporting the club to reduce costs. Not only that but through the club’s network we will also be looking to work with fans and businesses across the city to do the same.”
“While the club’s stadium and training facilities have quite unique energy requirements, we are experienced in working with both homeowners and businesses of all shapes and sizes.”
