After nominating Claudia for her involvement with the Sister Club programme this season, Birmingham City Community Trust presented her with the PFA Community Champion Award 2019/20 during a surprise Zoom call.
Alongside her full-time playing career, the forward has visited a number of grassroots clubs and schools throughout the season to provide coaching and skills sessions.
Craig Gill, Assistant Community Director for the Trust, nominated Claudia. He said: “We really appreciate all the work Claudia’s been doing this season with the Sister Clubs.
"From the player visits to helping Kez with the coaching sessions, a term we’ve heard over the past few months to describe her is ‘role model’.
"I know that Claudia is proud to be part of the football club and really keen to give her time to the young people on the Sister Club programme.”
PFA’s Stephen Rayner added: “It’s fantastic what Claudia has been doing and the award is well deserved.
"From a PFA perspective, we’re really keen to promote the great work that’s going on out there with players.
"The PFA Community Champion is a prestigious award and [in Claudia’s case] well justified.”
