Get your Blues kit ready for Football Shirt Friday

The fundraising and awareness campaign for the Bobby Moore Fund, Football Shirt Friday, is back for its eighth year on Friday 20 November.

Blues are calling on our supporters to paint social media Royal Blue – or maybe even green with this seasons iconic third kit – by taking a selfie and, if circumstances allow to, donate to the Bobby Moore Fund.

Football Shirt Friday has, for a long time, been a highlight of the office calendar. However, just because so many are currently working from home this year, that does not have to change. The only difference is that, for the first time since working from home was advised, you do not have to change into smart, office-appropriate clothes seconds before jumping on a Zoom meeting.

For the eighth year running, people will be asked to donate to the Bobby Moore Fund whilst sporting their favourite football shirt for the day.

This could be at work, school or anywhere in the community. The inspiration for this campaign originated from images of Bobby Moore taken at the 1970 World Cup, showing him swapping shirts with footballing legend Pelé.

There are a number of ways you can donate:
  • To donate online, use the donation form found HERE
  • To donate by mobile, text the word SHIRT to 70180 to donate £5 to the Bobby Moore Fund.
  • To donate by cheque, deliver to ‘Football Shirt Friday, The Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK, PO Box 1561, Oxford, OX4 9GZ’.
