International call for Pedersen

Blues defender Kristian Pedersen has been called up by Denmark for the first time.

The left-back was today included in preparations for two Nations League games and a friendly.

Pedersen was watched consistently by the Danes last season as he established himself as a strong and consistent performer in the Championship.

And he has now been rewarded with recognition, being added to a 25-man initial squad by coach Kasper Hjulmand.

Denmark play the Faroe Islands in a friendly on 7 October before their squad is formally cut to 23 players.

They then travel to Reykjavik to take on Iceland in the Nations League on 11 October.

And then it's potentially a mouth-watering clash against England at Wembley on 14 October for Pedersen.
