Blues start smart new partnership with online pharmacy

Birmingham City FC has unveiled a brand-new major sponsor for both men’s and women’s kits in the 2021/22 campaign, with online pharmacy SmartMeds and supplement specialists Impact supporting the Club on home and away kits respectively.

SmartMeds will now adorn the front of the Women’s home shirts and the back of Men’s home shirts, whilst sister-brand Impact will take pride of place on the front of the Women’s away kits, the back of Men’s away kits and all of the RTC kits.

Alongside the shirt deal, SmartMeds will be the Club’s first health and wellbeing ambassadors, funding several fitness programmes with BCFC’s Community Trust as well as delivering educational sessions about health and diet in nearby schools.

SmartMeds has already sponsored the Community Trust’s Bootcamp courses, which are free to attend for all fitness levels and hosted by personal trainers from the Club. In addition to this, the medical professionals from SmartMeds will also work with the Trust’s next cohort of Fit Fans, providing the science behind a sustained healthy life having a positive impact.

Blues will also be launching its own line of supplements thanks to the team at away kit sponsor, Impact. Lifestyle and training enhancers such as magnesium, zinc, turmeric and many more will be available from the Club’s online store, with players and staff running regular features throughout next season on how each one can assist a healthier lifestyle.

Both brands are operated by the Birmingham-based V2M Pharma group, which has pledged five per cent of all Blues-generated profits from both the SmartMeds online pharmacy and Impact supplement sales to the Club’s Community Trust.

Hardeep Rai at V2M Pharma, said: "Birmingham City FC is the heart of our city; the aim of our partnership is to support the Club, fans and the communities of Birmingham to educate them into a healthier and sustainable lifestyle. We look forward to engaging and giving back to the loyal Birmingham fan base throughout the partnership.”

Ian Dutton, Chief Commercial Officer at Birmingham City FC, said: “SmartMeds and Impact are well-matched partners for us here at Blues, and there are many mutually beneficial plans already in place. The eagerness of the team to support our Community Trust and help us with our education programmes is refreshing and a testament to the nature of SmartMeds and V2M Pharma. We are looking forward to seeing the partnership grow.”
