Lucy Quinn is back at Blues Women!

Blues Women are delighted to announce the signing of Lucy Quinn.

The attacker, who has put pen to paper on a two-year deal, returns for a second spell at the Club and is the second signing of Scott Booth’s tenure. This follows the arrivals of Jade Pennock, Louise Quinn and then, earlier today, Sarah Ewens.

Quinn, 29, re-signs for Blues after spending two years in North London with Tottenham Hotspur following the end of her first period in the Second City.

With the Lilywhites she made 34 Barclays FA Women’s Super League appearances, including in the West Midlands on the final day of last season as she faced a Blues team that sealed their top-flight status for the upcoming campaign.

That was Quinn’s final league appearance in the colours of Spurs before she signed off with a goal in the Vitality Women’s FA Cup versus Sheffield United.

Having moved back to the Second City, Quinn is looking forward to picking up where she left off.

"It was my first ever professional club so I have always had a special connection with the Club and everyone involved.

"When the opportunity arose to come back, it was definitely something that I had to consider.

"I definitely feel like a more senior player now and would like to come back to Blues and show how much I have grown."

Born in Southampton, Quinn started her career at neighbouring Portsmouth and signed for Yeovil Town in 2016. In the South West, she helped the Glovers secure promotion to the WSL 1 ahead of joining Marc Skinner’s side in September 2017.

Across two seasons, Quinn made 33 outings for Blues and scored memorable goals against Manchester City and Chelsea. Her effort against the latter was voted as Blues Women’s Goal of the Season for 2018/19 and came in a stunning 2-3 victory at Kingsmeadow.

Welcome back, Lucy!
